Following the link up between Mazdaspeed and Dyson Racing, Ben has been named among the driver line-up for the 2009 ALMS season. With the retirement of Bob Bach the mantle of works Mazda team has been taken up by the vastly experienced and very successful Dyson Team.
Since the beginning of Bens racing in America he has always harboured a wish to one day race for them. To do it and still maintain his strong connection with Mazda is a dream come true for him. Testing has already begun in ernest and with the arrival of the teams second car last week the public got it's first view of the new livery, featuring the colours BP.
2009 will also see Bens first opportunity to run on Michelin tyres, after initial testing he was very complimentary on their performance. With the Sebring 12 hour classic just over three weeks away and the LMP ranks featuring several manufacturers the American sportcar fans are in for a treat.

Ben recently took part in the November tyre test at Daytona raceway Florida. The test was used by teams to evaluate the new Pirelli P zero tyre which they will all run in 2009. Ben was given the opportunity thanks to Speedsource and Mazdaspeed.
The anticipation among the whole team was running high with the debut of the new Mazda powered Lola Coupe... Pre-race testing started the weekend before the race with both drivers sharing the driving duties and familiarising themselves with their new enclosed environment...
