Sebring 29th January –
Ben named in B-K driver line-up for 2008.
With the official announcement of new partners BP and Yokohama the B-K Mazdaspeed team also confirmed Ben for a second year as a driver of the no 8 Lola Mazda MZR-R.
After an eventful first year of development which saw the project improve with every outing, the team is poised with it’s new partners to take another huge step forward. Already the ADVAN (Yokohama) tires are showing what the car might be capable of. After the first 2 days of the Sebring winter test, the car has lapped 2 secs quicker than ever before. “It’s great news to have two major companies such as BP and Yokohama on board and really shows the level of commitment from everyone involved in the team to achieve success. I’m really pleased with my continued involvement and would like to thank both Mazda and
B-K for the confidence shown in me .
The level of competition seems to increase on a weekly basis with an announcement of yet another LMP2 entry. I think the fans are in for a real treat when the season starts on the 15th March here at Sebring and I’m really looking forward to competing against some of the best drivers and teams in the world.”
Ben Devlin.
